Mupirocin is used to treat certain skin infections (such as impetigo). It is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria. Muniprocin ointment is used for skin infections, e.g. impetigo, folliculitis, furunculosis in adults, adolescents, children and infants aged 4 weeks and older.
