If fever is confirmed, you can give paracetamol according to the age of the baby. If there is no improvement afterwards take the baby to see a doctor for proper medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.

Please, make sure you're not using your hands. The only reliable way to check temperature is with the use of a digital thermometer. So ma'am, check the temperature with thermometer, readings between 36.5 to 37.5 degrees are normal. Anything beyond that is a fever.
